Born in Haiti, but raised in Brooklyn, NY, Sylvain discovered bodybuilding at the age 26.  His first competition was in 1983 where he won his first title, NAPPC Federation of Natural Eastern USA. It was at this turning point in his life that he then realized bodybuilding was far more than a healthy hobby, but his true calling.

Currently, he is the owner of “Genetics by Geno” a wildly successful state-of-the-art fitness training center in the New York area. Another successful venture  is the “8 Pack System,” a user friendly line of DVD’s, books, audio CD’s, clothing, equipment, premium services, and text messaging that make the Geno Sylvain lifestyle readily available to everyone in the comfort of their own home.  Geno’s new and upcoming addition to the 8-Pack family will be the “8-Pack Abster,” a revolutionary piece of equipment designed specifically to target the lower abs. 

Keeping in line with his concept of a healthy lifestyle, Geno strives to continually give back to the communities that have made him so successful.  A frequent guest speaker at local schools, Sylvain is living proof of healthy success to countless students faced with the temptations of drugs, alcohol and indifference.  He additionally offers hope to those currently battling addiction by reaching out to local support groups and offering himself as a mentor and a personal example of the myriad of benefits that come with a healthy lifestyle.  He has assisted countless people over the years by offering personal fitness sessions – normally $100.00 each - absolutely free of charge to anyone weighing over 300 pounds.
